Coincidence?

I planted sugar daddy peas dusted with innoculant on April 1, and also no signs of germination. This evening, I put up my PVC hoops with garden cover. The next morning I get a chance, I am planning to sow more seeds.

I'm in Southwestern PA, I believe similar to your climate.

My spinach has sprouted, sown 3/23.

Thanks for responding Penguingardener. I just went outside and dug into the soil a bit and saw the peas had germinated and the sprouts were just below the soil line. So happy the seeds did not rot. All of the spinach has sprouted also and a bit of the lettuce. I will have to get my landscape cloth out to cover the peas when they finally break the soil line if the weather continues to be so cold. Thanks again for responding and good luck with your peas. PS: The snow peas I am growing are Golden India from Scheepers and Oregon Sugar Pod II from Cook's Garden.

Oh! I haven't checked underneath my garden covers since I put them up. I just received my "Garden by the Moon Almanac" that I ordered from Plantea (link below). It suggests planting peas on the 22nd (Sunday), so I was going to sow more then.

Glad to hear your peas are doing well. I'm not feeling too optimistic about mine.

I'm looking forward to this weekend's weather. Now if I can just kick this cold...
