Having suffered major lily beetle damage the past couple summers, I'd like to do what I can in the early spring to prevent the disfigured foliage and blossoms next summer. Does anyone have some suggestions? I applied a mixture of ammonia/water (9 parts water to 1 part ammonia) to the bed after cleaning up the foliage. I have no idea if I put enough on to kill the larvae. Is there a super-cure for these nasty bugs?
