Oriental lily growth in zone 8?

18 years ago

I have a friend who lives in zone 8 who wants to grow oriental lily varieties. Anyone know if you can grow oriental lilies in zone 8a and 8b? If so, when do they start showing growth? When do they flower? Thank you for your thoughts!
