'Clarence'

I was surprised to read the opinions of others on this cultivar. I love the color combination, ruffling, fragrance and the fact the colors go with just about anything else in the garden. The clump flowered in May and is reblooming now. The only difference is the Japanese beetles have emerged and have nibbled on the latest flowers. I've received a lot of compliments on it, too.

I love this iris! I got mine at Home Depot and it is not the real deal. I was so disappointed- it does not have that glow that Clarence has. It looks great in your garden with all of your other flowers.

Hosenemesis, is your Iris fragrant? Do you think this is something other than Clarence? Last fall this one kept blooming until hard frost. I expect it will bloom on and off all summer.

Looks like Clarence to me and by the sounds of it, performs a lot like Clareence as well. Beautiful bloom!! :) Thanks for sharing.

Yours is Clarence. Mine did not look at all like that, and it did not rebloom here in the land of rebloom! Mine was heavily ruffled and did not have the creamy glowy colors of Clarence. It was okay, just not the right iris.
