The Beautiful Lily is the name... :-). Kd, I have a question for you, will it work to plant lilies between my spring bulbs? At Wallmart they sell a pack with 25 oriental lilies for $8, I think it is a great price, and I had that thought that I can put the lilies between my tulips and hyacints. What do you think?
    Thank you,
    Sonia,

I have been trying for months to identify it, but can not. I think it maybe lilium "master piece".

Sonia, you can interplant lilies with spring flowering bulbs, in fact they go very well together. Orientals bloom so late that they are good take overs for tulips and hyacinths.

Wal-mart sells 25 lilies for $8.00? I have been drooling over the lilies for weeks. I want lots and lots and haven't found them this cheap. At my Wal-mart the ones I saw were at about 5.00 for 6 and up. You can bet I will look again because I really, really want to find 25 lily bulbs for $8.00. I bought some today at Giant Eagle 4 for 2.59. I thought that was pretty good. Of course I came here and read about bulb size and quality issues and wondered how I did. I am new to lilies and don't know good from the bad. I want so many bulbs and plants this year, I am really shopping for the good deals. Hope I can keep all I have learned here in mind while I select and plant this year. I you see extra good prices on nice bulbs, PLEASE POST or email me. Thanks so much. Shirley who is hoping many lilies are in my future and don't cost too much.

I think the name of the lily is "Stargazer". Where are my good intentions! I bought 45 bulbs of Peacock Orchids for $5, they look really good in mass. I have this little corner, I can stick them close next to each other, it will look nice. The problem is, rabbits on my backyard like them to, so I have to make some kind of fence around it, and I hate those little cages-fences. Any ideas how to drive bunnies out of my property?
    It is not funny :-)

    Hello again.
The mystery lily appears to be, 'Creation.'
IMHO I would be hestitant about purchasing bulbs from Walmart. As growers, all of our bulbs are purchased "pre-chilled."
These are also available to the home gardener from any reputable nursery.

    Ken,

Nice picture! Also thxs for your frequent and informative posts and replies in this forum in the past.

    Sonia,

I don't have a rabbit problem. People in other forums have mentioned anything from coyote and fox urine ( which is sold ) to getting a dog or outdoor cat, to live traps to move the rabbits which is controversial, may be illegal in some areas to relocate wildlife.

My grandfather would have shot them and put them in the cooking pot!

Soniay, there's a product called Ropel that does good to keep the rabbits off your plants but it has to be reapplied each time it rains and is pretty costly. If you don't have a lot it's well worth it I think if you don't mind using chemicals.

That is very pretty, I wish I could take nice pics of plants!

My current favorite is Triumphator... I think it is so stunning! I was so impressed with it last year I'm planting another one (and I traded one! :-) )

I love stargazer best for fragrance and I do love the way they look.

I love Yelloween because the are so upright they look like tall tulips in the middle of summer.

I love Pixie lillies because they are so bright and fun in the front of the border!!

I could go on and on, it's so hard to choose a favorite!

Can't say anything about the rabbit? issue, don't know a thing about that, sorry.

Hi, maybe you can help me since you are such an expert on Lilies. I bought a Calla Lily from the Market yesterday, I thought is was sooooo very Pretty. Questioin is, I don't know how to care for it. I don't really have a green thumb, it's more like a lemon/lime colored thumb. I have decided that I am going to try my hand at gardening as a stress reliver and this is my first project! How often do I water, sun or indirect sun, inside plant or outside plant? I would really like to keep it on my kitchen table. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.s

The best product I have found to repel rabbits is Liquid Fence. It smells bad upon application but it doesn't linger. I used to have many rabbits in my yard that would eat everything but since using Liquid Fence, I haven't seen even one! They even have Liquid Fence Plus that not only repels rabbits but contains a plant/flower fertilizer that feeds your plant as you spray. Our local news channel did a segment on it and they found that it really does work.
