Hi Jill,

If your seedlings are looking good, they must be happy with their surrounding temperature. Seedling will grow much stronger if grown in areas that are cool; 60 to 65 deg F is often recommended. Heat will cause the seedlings to grow faster. When they do that, it can be hard to supply enough light to prevent leggy and weak growth. Even if heat was needed, using heat mats would not be the way to go :-)

The use of a small fan is an excellent idea. That, along with cool temperatures, will help the plants to grow stronger.
