You probably have them all planted by now, but I would plant no more than one in a 15" pot. If you're going to keep them there. In your weather they will outgrow the pot in two years. Here it might take three years, but they grow that big quite quickly.

I plant mine 1 plant per 10" pot. I wouldn't put them in together as you won't be able to work out which is which when you try and divide and replant them. 1 well grown japanese iris in a 10" pot will outgrow it's pot in one year, BUT even in a 15" pot it will need fresh soil because they are greedy feeders. I sink my pots in trays of water to just below the depth of the rhizome, and take them out for the winter. I feed them once a month with well rotted cow manure placed directly in the water surrounding the pots.
