It can take a long time for some buds to open; especially if temperatures are cool. Orientals may go to bud stage early and stay for an even longer time.

I had a good look at them and they don't seem to be under any threat of bugs or virus.

Toronto has had 2 weeks of heat wave followed by 1 week of below normal temps. Now that we are back in a heat wave, maybe they'll come.
