Beautiful! Yes, they are very slow to get going but so worth it.

Thanks for sharing your experience (and the beautiful photo). I'm in the second "only leaves" year with my Martagon. (Like you I got nothing their first year.) Your report on year three is very encouraging!

hi those are beautiful. i'm dying for the white martagon lillies (album). anyone know where i can get them? i tried to get them from old house and garden bulbs last fall but they were sold out. i would really like to get them and plant them this fall. also, is it true they take a fair amount of shade? how tall do they get? thanks for any info. fman

Well, I'm feeling much better then. I planted some last fall, & see only a tiny leaf, & nothing on a couple!

Here is my martagon lily. Its been several years. I kept seeing the plant, but one of the dogs would break off the buds or bugs would eat the bud....Finally!!!
