You should be able to plant them; for sure for eating. But there is probablyalso time to grow some for seed.

I think you're fine.
The Kentucky Blue I plant seems to make beans sooner than the Blue Lake. Look for one that might have a shorter harvest date.
Sometimes I think planting the beginning of June ends up being about the same as planting in the middle of May. The warmer temps seem to speed things up.

You're in zone 6 or 6b, depending. Check the "days to maturity" of your selected plant(bean) and deduct from the probable number of frost-free days we have left. Today is June14, we might get a frost around October 15,(that's 4 months) no guarantees.

plant your beans. you have plenty of time. I plant Rattle snake and mt.white hale runners. It takes them 10 weeks in spring and 8 weeks if planted after june 1ST. Good Luck Bill

When in doubt, plant! You just never know how long your summer will last, and if it lasts longer than usual, you've got more beans. If it's shorter, no one will kill you.

Some farmers routinely sow a little early, figuring that if the good weather holds, they will get a early crop, and if they get an unexpected late freeze, they can always re-sow.
