i have a similar pink that i bought in the florist shop last year and overwintered on the balcony. actually 2. they were simple last year, but now one has half developed center like yours and the second has a full set of 6 extra petals, but crinkled and half size - i really hate the look. I wonder if anybody knows what causes this deforming and is there any way to get rid of it? my bulbs were not labeled, but the flowers do look like miss lucy.

i've searching for info and there is hardly any. they say doubles could turn single 50% of the time and are unstable - if it's colder and wetter then there is more chance of a double. mine that is like yours opened the last two flowers as doubles (3 extra petals) well formed. the crinkled double also last two are very good: 1 3 extra, the other 6. they said that it's likelier that the last blooms will turn single, but for me they turned out the best. so may be yours will pop a good double soon or even next year. though most oriental doubles seem to be pink. there are more colors in double asiatics though.
