Color enhancer?

Is there any nutrient that can enhance the color of iris flowers? I'm not talking about a dye that can be added to water that an iris is sitting in. Rather, some kind of nutrient added to the soil or sprayed on the leaves that makes blues bluer or oranges orangier.

If the health of the soil is good and low-nitrogen fertilizer is used as needed, it will be the weather that affects the color of bearded iris.

I have seen this in my iris --- some cultivars show little change while in others the pigments seem more intensified. One year I hardly recognized ENTOURAGE.

When comparing my pics to those of the same irises grown in warm or hot climates, mine often show much deeper color saturation. I have always assumed it is my very cold winter climate that triggers the color depth in my irises.
