Been there a few times myself, though not for the last few years. Decorah is a good place to spend a weekend. How did the gardens look? They've had quite a bit of rain lately, their creek has flooded in wet years.

Been in Decorah for a week, home now (13 hour drive yesterday). Yes, some of the SSE gardens had been under water but were beginning to recover.
