Eurydice is a pink asiatic hybrid. It is one of the downwards facing (nodding) asiatic hybrids. Most asiatic hybrids are upfacing today but some are now also being bred again to have nodding flowers. It is very pretty.
According to the Lily Garden catalog, this one was bred from the cultivar Ariadne, which in turn was bred from the Lilium lankongense specie. I really should put this one on my wish list. Kenneth, did you "splurge" a little on this one, lol?
The nodding, downfacing ones are really my favorites. They tend to have long open inflorescences, high bud counts and long bloom time as they open one by one starting at the bottom and working upwards. I don't know why they aren't more popular.
