Yellow Iris Droopy

Hello. Early in the spring I bought two siberian iris. One is Purple the other is Yellow. They both bloomed beautifly, but after the yellow bloomed its leaves got all droopy and it didnt grow as the purple one did. The leaves on the yellow dont look diseased or anything, just flopped over. I was just wondering if this could be a disease the could spread to my other plants.

sorry, I can't grow Siberians here, but since no one else has chimed in...

is the yellow one still alive?

I'm just wondering if maybe the plant was weak or damaged.

Siberian leaves are inclined to sprawl in the summer. Old timers would have said they were 'spraddle legged.' The fancy term is gracefully arching downward, sometimes seen in catalog descriptions.

Thank you both for responding. The plant is still alive, so i am guessing hopefully that Walter has the correct answer, we will see next year when and if it comes back! Thanks again.
