Where did you find this info? Foxtail Fern is definitely not in the Lily (Lilium) family. It looks really nice on the pictures! I have never seen it in person, interesting plant.

It isn't a fern. It is an ornamental asparagus. Don't treat it like a fern, it won't be happy.

If we are referring to Asparagus densiflorus Meyeri or Sprengeri, often referred to as foxtail ferns because of their airy, ferny-like foliage stems, these are indeed members of the lily family (Liliaceae) although not members of the Lilium genus. They are NOT ferns, as they produce flowers and seeds, not spores. And they are not hardy in colder climates, most often being sold as foliage houseplants.

There is also a foxtail lily, Eremurus species and hybids, also not a true lily (Lilium) but again a member of the Liliaceae family. A very hardy and dramatic, tall perennial from a tuberous root system. This is often sold in better or specialty bulb catalogs

Using the correct botanical name would help to clarify and so that others know exactly what plant you are looking for.
