If you're looking to ship daylilies and not Asiatic or Oriental lilies you want to dig your plants, wash all the dirt off and then trim the foliage to 4-6 inches. Allow your plants to air dry for an hour or two and then wrap the entire plant in a sheet of newspaper. Place it in a box and mail. I always ship my orders Priority Mail. From Indiana to Arizona will probably take about 3-4 days. I'd probably ship on Saturday. Since the box is going a good distance it will continue to travel over the weekend. If that's not possible then ship Monday.

I would certainly NOT wrap the plants in plastic especially this time of year.
