Randall likely it is Volunteer Pride- Tom Parkhill 2005 , an orange iris.

Niswonger had one called Orange Vols, I believe. There is definitely a daylily named Orange Vols.

65 miles away from being a Volunteer.

I should have looked before I leaped. Niswonger has no registered iris called Orange Vols. I am sorry for the error. Too early in the morning.

Another thought. I have heard the word 'volunteer' used in conjunction with a passalong plant with real name unknown or one that just shows up, origins unknown. This 'volunteer' tag may have been put on this iris along with its color (orange) before it was shared with others, and the name just stuck.

Thank you everyone. Mike I tend to agree with you as this was my first thought. Laetitia it may be you heard of Tennessee Vol an existing orange iris.
Randall

Yes, Tennessee Vol was indeed introduced by Dave Niswonger in 1995, so I was just slightly off base.
