Twice I have planted Pink Perfection trumpet lily and twice they did not even sprout. My other lilies do fine right beside them. I was told they may be prone to rotting in the winter if they don't get really, really good drainage. Is this variety particularly susceptible to winter rot? We have clay soil here but I have amended it with compost.
