Leafing out

I had a clump of irises that I divided and replanted earlier this year, following the recommendations I found on the forum. Now all of the divisions have leafed out BIG time. Each new clump has a beautiful tall fan of leaves. I haven't checked closely, but I don't think there are any stalks, so I don't think they're rebloomers (and I don't recall the original clump ever reblooming). Is there anything I should do to winterize? I didn't expect to have any growth that I'd have to protect!

Sounds like they are happy! Just leave them alone. When the tops die back then you can cut it off. They will reward you next spring for you kindness. Just wait and watch. I moved all of mine in July of 2010 and come spring 2011 they were

WOW, aquawise! You have a beautiful collection of irises! Show-off :)

I'm not sure what variety mine are, but I think they're closest in appearance to the Valor in your album.

I can't compete with aquawise when it comes to Bearded Iris and I've just started the last couple of years with Jap. and Sib. Iris...most from Ensata but now when it comes to Dahlias....unless they freeze again like last year.....there are some that will compete for color and form.....and the flowers last longer but more work to take care of....
