Growing under Lights

LED Grow Lights and Plant Height?

Hello all!

I have an LED Grow Light, that I feel is doing well. I've tested it on a few plants and it has performed to my expectations. I have a question for people growing with LEDs though. How tall a plant can the one light support?

Right now, mine is a 100w BlackStar with 2w LED diodes. It's growing a Lisbon Lemon tree which is currently about 2 feet tall. I'd like to use LEDs to grow tomatoes and other plants that may exceed 3-4 feet, so I'm curious if I will need supplemental lighting around the plant?

Any pics or info would be greatly appreciated.

I like more information about the 100w BlackStar with 2w LED diodes. How much power does it use? 100 W, 2 W are 102W?

Not sure if it's my set up or not, but I use LED in combination with T5HO's and find my plants are staying very short and extremely bushy and compact with very short internode spacing. My peppers were flowering and fruiting at less then a foot high. When I took them outside, they stretched a lot more. So I guess the answer is you can grow plants that are normally much taller if you have similar growth patterns as I have. Have you noticed reduced internode spacing during your tests under the light?
