They are as good as any major grower. Very good quality rhizomes. It does take a year or so for the iris to get reacclimated to northern climate conditions. Not all of mine survived but we had an exceptionally bad spring with established iris also dying.

Anja,

If you pot your new arrivals and then set them in the garden when they are established, they should do quite well. I have not found that the cold troubles them, and I am guessing we are in similar climates.

Especially if you are hybridizing, you should be very pleased with what you get from Tempo Two. I have really enjoyed the seedlings I have gotten using Blyth irises as parents.

looking forward to that annual shipment from down under!

I placed an order last season with Tempo Two. I found Barry Blyth very accomodating in answering my questions, etc. The rhizomes I received were very nice, healthy rhizomes and are looking quite healthy through my winter so far. Twirl the Kilt bloomed not long after I rec'd it. My bonus plant was Decadence ... which is a brand new WOW!
I thinkyou'll find dealing with Barry very pleasurable.

I can recommend Tempo Two for good quality of service and plants. If you pay a little extra for postage they will throw in an extra iris. Have had 100% success rate.

I pretty much order yearly due to a hideous addiction ;D

Hello,
thank your for your answers. I will place my order with Tempo Two in January. I would like to use the Blyth plants for my hybridizing efforts.
I wish you all the best for 2006.
