Cowpeas Haven't Bloomed Yet

It just occurred to me as I was surveying the garden that my California Blackeye cowpeas haven't bloomed yet. I planted the pre-sprouted seeds on June 12-13 not realizing they might want something to climb on so they're pretty much just twisting around all over on each other. Otherwise they're looking very robust and healthy. I suppose at some date there's no point waiting for them to flower if they're not going to have time to develop seeds. How long should I give them? I can usually count on not having frost at least until the third week of September.

Thanks!
