I sold "plant starts" (mostly tomatoes and peppers) roadside a few years ago and did well.
I think it is important to keep your soil temperature warm (check the temp regularly 70-80F)and don't over-water.
Spraying the seedlings with weak Chamomile Tea will help prevent "damping-off".
I hope the walls you plan to use are NOT concrete basement walls...too much cold there.

I disagree about soil temps. Once the seeds germinate and the seedlings have a healthy start, keep them cool - 55-65 degrees. This will discourage stem growth but create huge roots. I water no more than once a week, always from the bottom and always using a formula similar to Tomato-tone - low in Nitrogen.

Agree with Mike. Those temps are only needed for germination of most seeds. Tomatoes grow better with a soil temp of around 55F.

Agree on keeping the temps at 60 or below for starts. High end for peppers. Getting the flouros right on top of the starts will pull the temp up to 80, so insure the fan is moving the heat away. The fan is needed to "stiffen" the plants anyway.
