Bulb storage

I've had an Easter lily which I planted in the ground soon after the holiday. It did well all through the spring and early summer. But I had to move it to another spot and since then, it hadn't done well so I pulled it out. I thought I'd gotten the whole bulb but just now I dug in that area to put something else there and lo and behold, there was still quite a large lily bulb down there. Can I put it in a paper bag and refrigerate it until spring? I live in hot Florida so I have no idea how to treat it in order for it to re-grow in spring. (If it will at all). Thanks!
