Over the winter I germinated some trumpet lily seedlings. Out of 40 sprouting seeds only 10 made it to the 2-leaf stage. Then two of these died back, while the rest added a third leaf. With the two that died off I went looking in the pots for the little bulbs, thinking that possibly I could refrigerate them a bit then they would put up new leaves. But I couldn't find anything! o.O How large would the bulb of a lily seedling with 2 leaves each about 2 inches long be? Would it be so tiny I could totally miss it?
