Well, I bought a bunch of lilium rubrum bulbs and planted last year, but it was not a very impressive show. Some sources say they grow in zone 9 and 10, some say only up to zone 8.

Have you had success with these, and can you give me a few tips? It is VERY hot and dry here in Socal, so irrigation is a necessity and I can control the amount of water they get.
