Spathiphyllum or peace lilies are aroids rather than true lilies. They are also tropical plants that will not tolerate temperatures much below 50F. Like many houseplants, they can be used outdoors during the summer months but will require winter protection.

They are a very easy care houseplant, preferring moderate household temperatures and tolerating rather low light conditions.
