They shouldn't come up until spring. What zone do you live in? Your winters need to get below 40F for about 8 weeks for your lilies to vernalize. If not they may fail to sprout in the spring.

oops, sorry I am zone 6, coastal Rhode Island.

I lived in Portsmouth RI when I was younger. So I know that your winter will be plenty cold enough for lilies.

Lilies are planted in the Fall, much as daffodils or tulips are, with growth occuring the following spring. But, because lilies are summer blooming you can also plant them in the early spring, as long as the bulbs are "pre-cooled", (as all spring sale bulbs from reputable sellers are).

So, no, you should definately NOT get growth now or in the winter. The only exception is the madonna lily - "lilium candidum" which sends up some basal leaves in the Fall that overwinter and a flowering stalk in the spring.
