I am very flattered that you all liked the picture so much. Feel free to use it or any other picture I post. There are many other great pictures that have been posted here by several folks though.

I just wanted to show how green and delicious they looked. I think the right spelling is soissons vert. I am showing the pods as it took me a little figuring on when is the best stage to pick them. They should not be flat but 'curvy', like a well developed teenage girl wearing a tight green dress (but not a preteen.....LOL).

Part of what I like about this photo as a graphic symbol is that it has both seeds and pods, which are the essence of beans. And they are so beautifully arranged and lighted.
