If you like mushrooms this is a throw together I do with green beans, no exact measures. Simple but tasty.

Saute a minced shallot and some sliced mushrooms in a bit of olive oil until the shallots are softened and just starting to get a little color. Add green beans and a small amount of water, cover and simmer. When the beans are almost done remove lid and stir occasionally until the water has evaporated. I like my beans a little on the crispy side but DH likes them cooked a little longer.
