It is a very good overall bean and makes good green snaps, but in my opinion is just a tiny bit soft for canning. Don't hesitate to grow it and give it a try, but watch the canning time and don't overdo the pressure.

I prefer blue lake, Kentucky Wonder, or Rattlesnake for canning so guess I am a bit biased.

I pretty much agree with Fusion. "Fortex" is one of my favorite snap beans, but I freeze most of mine... and it freezes well. For canning, I would recommend the much firmer filet bean "Emerite", which is also pole.
