Pretty common for 'Bloodgood' to bronze or "green out" if planted in hot climates or full sun. Dappled shade should alleviate this to some extent.

FWIW, there are a lot of seed-grown or inferior so-called 'Bloodgood's on the market and these may not hold their color through the season even as well as the true 'Bloodgood'. Your need to make sure you are selecting and purchasing from a reputable grower/retail nursery and that the tree is grafted.
