Where are the community gardening plots?

I'm looking for a spot in a community garden plot. I live in Middle River MD, about 10 miles outside of Baltimore City.
I don't mind traveling a bit to get there . I'd be willing to pay a bit to rent or share with the cost of water or space.
Does anyone know where I can have a small garden?
I can share what I grow in exchange for space.
Does anyone have a small garden that would share a bit of it with me so I can grow some veggies?

I have a friend who rented a community garden plot in MD for the last few years. She found out about it through U of M extension here http://extension.umd.edu/growit/community-gardens/baltimore-city-community-gardens
I hope this helps. I'd hate to be a gardener without a plot of dirt to plant in so I feel for anyone who needs one.
