I'm looking for a Red Japanese maple that can hold its color while getting morning sun/afternoon dappled shade. I'm thinking something 10-15 wide eventually but no limit on height.

I was thinking Twombly Red Sentinal which would be easy for me to find bc I live down the street from Twombly's nursery. Before I splurge on this tree is it ok for this spot and is there something else you would like better? I'm new to Maples but I'm falling in love looking at all your beautiful photos. Once the bones are in my landscape I think I'm going to start collecting JM's-they are GORGEOUS!
