I have the chance of going to Hawaii in late January-early February. Oahu and the Big Island. I am naturally eager to see as many gardens/landscapes as time permits. In my preliminary research, I see botanical gardens and other collections of plants. While those are interesting, I am more interested in landscape design.

I like to visit places like Longue Vue in New Orleans and the many historic once-private gardens on the East Coast and elswhere. In a tourist mecca such as Hawaii, those places don't seem to get much publicity--if they exist.

Has anyone been and can recommend anything to see to someone interested in LD and LD history? Thanks!
