I had some of the "Sedona" that I got from Jillson's in Sabattus. By happenstance I planted it to the west of the house, and the setting sun coming up through that plant was totally spectacular.

Wow! Did you see all the scented geraniums? Terrific selection - and the only review on the Garden Watchdog site is glowing. Has anyone here ordered from them?

Thanks for posting the link to Rosy Dawn Gardens. I do like Coleus and Rosy Dawn has some great asexually propogated strains, but since they only ship plants when weather permits in Michigan, usually from late March through October, I think I will be starting Coleus from seed again this year because I like to have really big plants ready for setting out in the spring. I will probably be planting Coleus from seed under fluorescent lights in February, possibly earlier.

Also, I like to set out a lot of Coleus plants and frankly I couldn't afford to buy that many plants from Rosy Dawn.

My guess would be that Sedona coleus is propogated by cuttings. Most of the really spectacular coleus are. If you saved seeds from it, they might not necessarily come true.

We ordered from Rosy Dawn and created a coleus garden outside the library last summer. They were good-quality plants that took off once the weather warmed up.
