You may want to contact Greer gardens. They sell three different varieties of acer pseduoplantus and one of these may be the equivalent of the one that you are looking for.

Thank you for the idea! I will go over there tomorrow and see what they have to say. Now I have a good excuse for a fun outing!

Thanks for the link. It sounds as though it may just be too new to have much known about it! Hmmm..... now only to get ahold of terra nova :-p.....

Soooo..... to answer the question, sort of...... I went over to Greer Gardens this last weekend and they have the tree!!! But, they had not been given any information along with it and when they questioned the grower on it, they said that it was too new to really now that much about height, vigor, light, etc.. More or less that they 'believe that it is probably similar to Eskimo Sunset, but they don't really know. When they (Greer Gardens) called Terra Nova, they were told that it was to new to tell, but that it may be a little more vigorous than Eskimo Sunset. But, that they really didn't now either.
So.... thanks for your suggestions! I think that I'm just going to have to take a plunge and get it!!!
