Wondering if anyone has any ideas for me.
My next door neighbor has 3 or 4 rhododendrons next to her house and they live and thrive just fine - 6 yards from my house (her north side). I have tried over and over to put some on my north side (hoping to block the view of the neighbor's shed and fill in a bit) but they just won't take off.
I put some carefully selected varieties in before we rented the house for 4 years and they didn't take off. I put some irresistible Costco specials in last year when we got back and some lived to peak above the mulch at me.
Any ideas what might be going on or why? Suggestions?
