I forgot that MAG was mid-atlantic group and thus I thought that some guy (initials: MAG) was able to swap rock for something useful. I could see why he would do that, no need to read the thread, but alas I read the thread.

My last posting on GardenWeb was last year to identify my weed. It was yellow crownbeard. I have lots of that to swap.

I find the last post by palmer pretty amusing probably because I am so tired this morning from the DST time shift.

MAG swaps rock because there are so many generous and friendly gardeners. They take my extra plants and give me plenty more in return. ---and the food is super yummy, too!

Ohhhh, darn, I'm just getting back on-line after not being on for a good while and I see I missed a seed swap (and a lot of yummy food!!). Is the seed swap an annual event at the beginning of the year?

I love the people, the plants, and the whole atmosphere. I don't do chocolate much, and I usually eat the left overs. Even DH who is not a gsrener loves the event -- and that is saying much.

MAG swaps rock because you got lots of great plants from people, and then, a few years later, you pass them along to other people at the swap, and eventually, in maybe 25 years, we'll all have all the same plants in our gardens :-).

(I got my walking onions and hay-scented fern from Vlad, so I think of him whenever I pass them on.)

I know this firsthand; I am so grateful to all of you for the good wishes, hard work, and company that you've provided after my bout with breast cancer and my accompanying treatments. I will be proud to wear my pink wig to the 2009 spring swap!

I will bring one of those big veggie lasagna's to the next seed swap to be held at Mary's house in Temple Hills. Steve in Baltimore County.
