I've had good luck with all three camellias I've gotten from Benhkes over the years. They are expensive there unless you wait until the end of their bloom season and buy on sale, but then your choices are much more limited. They only carry camellias in the spring and fall blooming periods for each type.

Any of the National Arboretum bred camellias are more cold hardy. They started the whole cold hardier camellia thing when a white called Lu Shan Snow survived the very cold DC winter of 1977-79. I think all of the cold hardy camellias have some Lu Shan Snow in their pedigree.

Benhke's used to guarantee their woodies for a year; I don't know if they still do.
