MORE seeds ???

I don't know about my sanity sometimes! I have seeds left over from last year. I brought a ton of wonderful seeds home from the winter blues swap. Wouldn't you think I had enough?? After all, I don't have a huge greenhouse to start them in (just the shelves in my office / storeroom / greenhouse combo room). Nor do I have a huge yard. My yard is a large city lot (I don't think it's equal to 2 lots - maybe 1 1/2). Plus it's starting to get filled up already.

And what do I do? A friend had told me that many miniature roses are Z3 or Z4 hardy, so I thought I'd do a google search and check them out. I found 'No Thyme Productions' website and they had miniature rose seeds for sale! Here are the seeds I ended up ordering:

Miniature Roses

Nasturtium Alaska

Onion Red Tropeana Tonda

Strawberry Alpine

Strawberry Sarian

The miniature roses and strawberries are for fun. The Nastrutium Alaska are a variety I bought a 6-pak of last year and really liked. And the onions are because the ONLY onion seeds I could find locally last year were the 'bunching' variety and I want something I can slice and put on a hamburger :-)

How about the rest of you? Have you bought or ordered seeds or plants that you don't really need yet? No need to mention the ones from the swap. I know we all brought home many more then we needed... but wasn't it fun?

I have so many seeds out on my patio in plastic containers that I am not only going to add a garden or two I am trying to talk my sister into the same.

I get snookered in by Henry Fields and Gurneys "$25 discount on $50 purchase" offers, so by the time I get through picking out what I want, plus what would grow easy and save grocery money, I still come up a bit short of the $50. So I end up with some extra stuff that I wouldn't think of planting otherwise.

Last year, I had a little accident with my tomato and eggplant seeds that left me with over 250 plants -- way over and beyond the couple dozen I figured to grow in containers, so I was sticking them in the ground all over the place (part of my backyard used to be a horse corral).

Not sure where my hare-brained notions will take me this year.

Oh My-
Need you ask?
I- um, still have a couple aof seed swaps in limbo-
and have um- well- WAY TOO MANY- left to WS and um, indoor sow-

and I keep adding to my wants list.........

I tell you- it is the swapping that really gets me in trouble!! I just love it!!! I love to give what I can- and well receiving is just grand as well!!!

I did very well at not buying plants last year- just one glut in the spring at the Friends Sale- ( I am planning to do that again!!) and one mad spree late in the fall at a local nursery where I had to use a gift certificate before it expired- and then I found out it was buy one get one free- or half off-
