Have you tried either Linder's or Bachman's? I know I saw "Purple Majesty" last year on Linder's shelves (because I briefly contemplated buying some).

I am one of those people that just can't seem to pass up a seed rack too. I have checked Menards, Home depot, Target, Cub, Wallmart and Dundee Nursery. Out of all of them Menards I would say had the best selection. Franks Nursery and Crafts used to have the best selection but they closed now. Heliopsis should be fairly easy to find. I have seen that at a couple places. And I do believe I also saw the purple majest millet too. I think I saw them both at Menards actually. Heliopsis should be fairly easy to find as they give off numerous seeds. Maybe check the seed swap forum or ask someone if you can do a sase if you don't have any seeds to trade. You can also do that with the millet. There is some great people at the seed swap forum and I think you should probably be able to find it there if you don't want to keep looking at the retail places.

I too have been surprised and pleased by the seeds available at Menards. Sometimes you have to look high and low for them (not always the best at setting up their gardening displays), but still worth checking them out.

They also have by far the best price on pond plant fertilizer tablets I've seen, at least as of last summer, so any water gardeners out there might want to take a look.

Too late for this year, but just saw your post. I was impressed with the many companies of seed Traverse Des Sioux offered on the Norther edge of St. Peter on hwy 169 - at least for morning glories which is what I was seeking. I think I tried them from four different companies and there was quite a difference in amount and getting what the label said.
