I have a clump of switch grass (Panicum virgatum) and some deschampsias that need to be removed from their present locations some time this spring. I have more of them so these have to go. Anyone want them? The switchgrass is really nice --- well behaved (doesnt self seed), looks great in fall and winter, good for dried arrangements. The deschampsias (shorter clumpy mopheads) would be great for a sunny hillside or other place where they have room to self seed and form a sweep that looks nice in the wind. The only catch is you have to come to my home in Silver Spring to help dig them out. The switchgrass is big enough to divide (but small enough to be dug out without killing ourselves) if you want more than one plant in your garden. Send me email if you're interested.
