I can't say whether the two are the same but I can give some input on the hardiness of the blackberry lily. I am on the edge of zone 4, pretty much a 3, here in St. Cloud. I have had the blackberry lilly for over four years and they keep comming up strong. They seem to do better in full sunlight for me. Hope this helps.

I believe the blackberry lilies are just orange. The candy lilies have lots of color flowers. Seeds look the same.
