No but I'd be intereste in what y'all have to say too. I'm interested in using one on my stone fruit, citrus, Jujube and pecan.

I bought one from the neighbor who does erosion control.. This thing shreds a bale in 10 seconds. Last year I planted some beans with the tractor on about an acre and let them get about 6" to 8" high, We blew on some hay, I get it for free every year from my neighbor (well, I help him bring his in from the field all by hand with a flat trailer and we stuff it in his barn)
It worked just like I thought it would, I have used hay for years because it is readily available to me, putting it on by hand takes up time once your garden is bigger than 200' by 200',that and the fact that the hay is in long strands pressed tightly and hard to spread, with the blower the hay fell neatly around each plant and one day of breeze and it looked like we planted through the hay.

That was prep for the next year with the beans as a cover crop and the hay for weed control and OM.
When I first saw one (straw blower) I knew I had to have one this year I will be blowing hay on about 3 acres of tomatoes and corn. I plan on taking pictures, So.. I might post them

and what brand, make and model are you using?

We blew about 20 two twine bales on about 1/2 acre, and I think I would have done more, I am thinking about two tons of hay/ straw would be around were I think it would be enough.

I don't know what make is but it has a 4 cylinder gas engine

I was JUST thinking about doing this!! I had a guy doing some work around here for us and he has one of the blowers. I was imagining how much time it would save! One thing that he mentioned to me is that you have to get the best, weed free straw you can. He seeds lawns and if he uses cheap straw then he gets yelled at because of all the weeds that grow up. Now, since I already have tons of weeds, I would never know what he brought and what I already had!!

With the exception of johnson grass- that evil green thing. It came to our farm on a round bale and it is spreading quickly in one of the feilds...
