Aren't those first little plants and blooms just so very appreciated? I have a wild hepatica that just makes me so happy to see after the snow leaves.

Snowdrops are in full bloom now,

tulips are coming along,

and one daffodil has a big bud.

We moved into an older home about 15 years ago. Some one planted snowdrops years before. Now an entire flower bed has been taken over, and they are now trying to take over the yard and other beds. We tried digging them out, but find that seems to encourage even more growth as the bulbs are stirred up. Because of the location of the flower bed, and the fact that they are now into the lawn and other flower beds they make the lawn and beds unsightly as they die out. It just looks like we aren't taking care of the yard. I need help! Gayle in Kansas
