land purchase is off!

Well, we will not be getting that extra 5 acres after all. As it turns out, the parcel has no road frontage and therefore the county has deemed it "unbuildable". So if we ever were in a situation where we had to sel, it would not be worth much. We decided to pass on it. Oh well, so much for my dream of a sunny garden! LOL

Rick, we could offer him less and get the land, but seeing as it is not a buildable parcel, should we ever find ourselves in a situation where we need to sell it, we would have a hard time. The only people that would be interested in a land-locked 5 acre parcel that cannot be built upon would be the two property owners that own the adjacent parcels.
So we don't feel that is a wise investment. We may look at waterfront acreage up north somewhere, or we may just hold off for now.
