Do you do anything with/to the hole after you're done gathering syrup?

You are supposed to just leave it for the tree to heal! That's what we've been doing now for years. It takes a couple to heal the hole all the way, but if the tree is healthy it's no problem.

PS Just finished up the last of our sap too, got better than a GALLON of syrup from our big tree!
