Is there such a thing as foliage of trees clashing? I recently bought two maples a Japanese Oshio beni and a Crimson king. They look good together but when I came home from the nursery and looked up Crimson king I found that it has red/purple fall color. Mine right now has green/bronze. Is it going to change to purple as the year progresses or maybe as it matures. If so won't that look kind of awful next to the oshio beni? Can anyone recommend another maple that would have been a better selection. Or if not a maple, another medium sized shade tree with good fall color. Thanks
